How children learn in the Early Years section at Play English

How children learn at The BSM/Play EnglishThere exist different types of Bilingual Education.
The model The BSM/Play English feels closer to is that where the two languages are being used to teach all curriculum subjects. So a child will study maths, history, science etc. in both English and Italian. In our Bilingual programme, the instruction is carried out through the medium of two languages taught by native qualified and committed teachers who plan their lessons together, keep the two languages distinct by adopting the “one person one language” approach. Children who have been educated following such a model will be able to function in two languages and in two or more cultures, and therefore be better prepared to meet up to the demands, this era places upon them. Sheltered Programme ApproachIt is part of our school philosophy not to withdraw children from the classroom environment in order to offer additional language support (English as a second Language or Italian as a Second Language). The school curriculum is accessible for all children. Our school adopts the Sheltered Programme Approach to support second language learners and to enable children to attain their full potential in all subject areas.
